长城---中华的象征，民族的脊梁，是世界上修建时间最长，工程

量的国家军事性防御工程。它凝聚着我们祖先的血汗和智慧，是中国

人民的骄傲，也是整个世界的骄傲。

着名的万里长城，像一条矫健的巨龙，蜿蜒曲折，蟠伏在中华大

地上。它东起河北省的山海关，西到甘肃省嘉峪关。它纵横河北、北

京、山西、内蒙古、宁夏、陕西、甘肃等七个省市自治区，全长6700

公里，因此被称为“万里长城”。

长城历史悠久，始建于春秋战国时期，历史达2000多年。自秦朝

开始，修筑长城一直是一项大工程。据记载，秦始皇使用了近百万劳

动力修筑长城，占全国人口的1/20!当时没有任何机械，全部劳动都得

靠人力，而工作环境又是高山峻岭、峭壁深壑。可以想象，没有大量

的人进行艰苦的劳动，是无法完成这项巨大工程的。长城凝聚了我国

古代劳动人民的鲜血和汗水。

长城越群山，经绝壁，穿荒原，横瀚海，起伏在崇山峻岭之巅，

黄河彼岸和渤海之滨。古今中外，凡到过长城的人无不惊叹它的雄伟

气势、宏伟规模。长城犹如巍峨丰碑，屹立在地球上，屹立在世界人

民心中。

万里长城，气势磅礴，雄伟壮丽，是中华民族的缩影，也是中华

民族文明的象征，是人类历独一无二、举世无双的!
