董永传说

1、简介

“董永传说”是我国古代民间传说。金坛“董永传说”的发源地在江苏省常州金坛市

直溪镇境内的董永村（原名董里）。光绪版《金坛县志》多处记载了孝子董永和七仙女及其

子鹤生的传说。在金坛直溪境内，与董永传说相关的遗存、遗迹和实物多达40多处（件）。

金坛境内有董永庙、望仙桥和董永墓遗；望仙桥下有乾隆年间《望仙桥重建记》碑文；

董永与七仙女订情的老槐树尚在金坛；光绪版《金坛县志》有董永、望仙桥、董墓及望仙

古石等多处记载；金坛历代名贤咏叹董永与七仙女的诗词很多。

2、历史源流

董永传说始于汉代，最早出现在东汉武梁祠画像石，汉代文学家刘向根据这段故事写

成了《孝子图传赞》。三国时曹植的《灵芝篇》有描述：“董永遭家贫，父老财无遗。举假

以供养，佣作致甘肥。责家填门至，不知何用归。天灵感至德，神女为秉机。”东晋干宝在

《搜神记》中写下了“董永卖身葬父、仙女下凡相助”的故事，语言简朴，情节已趋完整。

唐代，敦煌写卷中的《搜神记一卷·行孝第一》、《孝子传》、《董永变文》等对董永故事做了

儒释道综合改编，最后以俗讲这一唐代佛寺禅门讲经同民间讲唱文学相结合的形式对董永

故事在下层民众中的传播起到了非常广泛的影响。“董仲寻母”情节是敦煌民间说唱艺人的

独特艺术创造，也是迄唐代为止董永故事中最精彩的情节，其中随处可见佛道二教的影响。

宋元时代，随着说书行业的发达，“董永遇仙”的传说在话本中流行。明代，经过文人洪梗

的采编、整理，将此收入他的《清平山堂话本》的“雨窗集”中，使之保存了下来。嘉靖

前后，民间艺人又依据宋元话本《董永遇仙》改编成戏曲《槐荫树》、《织锦记》、《遇仙记》

等，将董永的形象搬上了舞台。

3、艺术特色

董永行孝故事被奉为典范，列为二十四孝之一，这与人们朴素的道德观念有着密切的

联系；董永传说的思想核心是孝敬父母，这也是中华民族所提倡的传统美德，与当今倡导

的社会主义精神文明相吻合，已经成为社会主义道德风尚的重要组成部分，这是该传说具

有的现实性特征。董永传说以口头民间文学的形式，经过历代文学家的艺术加工，逐步演

变成惊天动地的天上人间情缘，演绎为孝心感天、卖身织缣、下凡结缘、满工回家、天地

同心等充满神奇色彩的诱人情节，使这一故事历经千年而不衰，具有鲜明的传奇性特征。

4、传承

“董永传说”在当地家喻户晓，妇孺皆知，但因是口耳相传，其传承谱系互相交叉，

难以一一梳理，现可追溯的主要有三支：（1）李双孝、李林春、李书知、李中正；（2）吴

小凤、李云发、李云良；（3）李金才、李向荣、李瑞兰。
