In a small village there was a middle-aged postman（邮递

员）, who just turned 20 years old and started delivering all kinds

of happy or sad stories to the residents' homes day after day for

50 kilometers.

一个小村里有位中年邮递员，刚满二十岁的时候，他就开始给村

民们送信，不论好消息还是坏消息。他一天骑车就要骑个50公里远。

20 years flew by, and so many changes took place, but the

road from the post office to the village always hadn't had any tree

and nothing but the flying dust could be en.

转眼二十年过去了，沧桑巨变，可是从邮局通往村里的那条路还

是连棵树都没有，只见尘土飞扬。

“How long shall I go along this derted road?” As soon as

he thought he must spend his life pedaling（踩踏板） the bike on

the dusty road with no flower or tree, he felt somewhat sorry.

“我到底要在这条寸草不生的路上走多久啊？” 一想到自己要骑

着脚踏车在尘土满天的路上走一辈子，连朵花、连棵树都见不着，他

就不由得感到难过。

One day when he finished delivering the letters and was

ready to return worriedly, he happened（碰巧） to pass by a

florist's（花店 ）. “Right, that's it!”

这天，他送完信连忙往回赶的时候，偶然路过一家花店。“对呀，

就是这个！”

He walked into the shop, bought a handful of wild flower

eds, and from the next day on scattered（撒） the eds

along the roadside. Thus, after one day, two days, one month,

he always kept scattering the wild flower eds.

他走进花店，买了一把野花花种。从第二天开始，他就沿路播撒

这些种子。就这样，撒了一天、两天、一个月、两个月……他一直坚持

撒着。

Before long on the lonely road he had come and gone for 20

years bloomed a lot of little flowers, in full bloom in all asons

endlessly.

没过多久，在这条他寒来暑往了二十年的幽静小路上，开出了许

多小花。一年四季接连绽放。

For the villagers, the eds and the scent（气味） were more

pleasing than any mail the postman delivered in all his life.

对村民们来说，这些种子和花香比这位邮递员这辈子送的任何一

封信还让他们感到满意。

On the road without dust but full of petals, the postman

whistled and pedaled his bike, feeling lonely and anxious no

more.

如今，路上尘土不再，鲜花朵朵绽放，邮递员吹着口哨，骑着自

行车，再也没有了孤独和烦恼。

最微小的行动可以影响整个环境，就像一块岩石可以使大海发生

变化。
