西藏人口约280万。

拉萨，被誉为世界上最高的城市，是属于西藏的一个省会城市。
西藏风景秀丽，有很多享誉海内外的名胜古迹，例如布达拉宫。
1951年5月23日解放以来，西藏在政治、经济、文化等方面都取得了很大的进步。
