—My Review on Matchstick Men

Professional con artist Roy was a nervous, middle-aged man, who often

got into a big temper for some small things. He was cautious desperately,

so he would check up the gas and power switch three or four times every

time before going out. What's wor, he was diagnod with

obssive-compulsive disorder. If he didn't take medicine on time, he

would be anxious. However Roy had a great talent for kidding, and he

often cheated others with his student Frank. One day, the appearance of

his daughter changed his life. He began to share happiness and sad with

the daughter, and he didn’t want the girl be a con artist likes him.

However, in a kidding-action, they gave themlves away, in order to

help father get rid of the victim, girl killed the man, So he had to nd

the daughter back. Actually, Roy would be the killer and he told the bank

account cure to his daughter by his doctor. On the other day morning,

it came out in the wash. In fact, Roy were kidded by the all of

“daughter”、 “doctor”and Frank. One year later, Roy got married with

a kind and beautiful cashier and he opened a store to ll carpet, in

which place he met his pudo daughter. At last, he forgave the girl and

he got his real baby.

This film mainly tells us a story that is a con artist cheats others、be

cheated by others and he got a new life at last. In my opinion, Roy is a

bad man but a good father. At first, Roy had a mental illness becau

cheating others had a terrible effect on his mind. As the film shows he

didn’t want to be a con artist, and he wanted his daughter to live a

ordinary life. And that he loved daughter very much, according to that he

would rather be arrested to replace the girl. From Roy, we can learn that

people can’t be bad when he was born, and a bad man can also have a

kind mind what prompted the good change. Then I would talk about

Angela. I claim she just an innocent but lovely little girl. I can’t believe a

little girl could act naturally when she confronts a sophisticated con artist,

so her nature should be good. What’s more, we can say that she was also

cheated. Becau she didn’t get enough money that she should get. As

for Frank, he cheated his partners and teacher, so he was a thoroughly

damned man, but all of tho were teach by Roy and he got rid of the

con career at last. He is lucky guy.

The most film was insipid, but we got a surpri at the end becau the

totally film was a scam. Not only Roy was cheated but also audiences

were cheated by the director, but we can’t help giving a big round of

applau for his talented idea. All in all, it’s a classic film and it caud

any thinking of life for me.
