1. 长城

Great Wall

长城是中国古代修筑的防御工程，至今已经有2000多年的历史。今天人们看到的是明代长

城，它西起甘肃嘉峪关，东到山海关，延绵5000多公里，因此被称为万里长城。长城是中

国旅游点的代表，被列入了联合国教科文组织的《世界文化遗产名录》。

颐和园 Summer Palace

颐和园是我国现存规模最大，保存最完整的皇家园林，为中国四大名园（另三座为承德的避

暑山庄，苏州的拙政园，苏州的留园）之一，被誉为皇家园林博物馆。颐和园位于北京市西

北近郊海淀区，距北京城区15千米。是利用昆明湖、万寿山为基址，以杭州西湖风景为蓝

本，汲取江南园林的某些设计手法和意境而建成的一座大型天然山水园，也是保存得最完整

的一座皇家行宫御苑，占地约290公顷。
