Teaching Plan 《Brave It Out》

教案背景

本教案适合中等职业高中一年级高职升学班级英语教学，第八单元第一课时，学

生已经初步掌握课后单词，本节课要学习导入部分和阅读。

教学课题

本节课选自英语上册基础模块《Unit 8 Brave It Out》。

教材分析

英语上册是对中职学生基础实际，低起点起步，归纳复现九年义务教育阶段的英

语基本语言知识和能力，实现大纲基础模块中规定的基本要求的第一阶段目标。

本节课要在掌握英语语言知识的同时对学生进行意志品质的思想教育。

教学方法

热身运动和导入课文时的讨论法、探究法，知识点的讲授法，阅读课文找信息读

书指导法，巩固提高时练习法。

III Explain the notes of the text.

1. Brave it out 勇敢面对人生（直面人生）。

2. Do you agree with the idea that life is fair？你同意生活是公平的这一观点吗？

agree with sth“同意某人的意见、想法、观点、决定等”。例如：I agree with your answer.我

赞同你的答案。

agree with sb同意某人的意见。如：We agree with our teacher.我们同意老师的意见。

句子中的that life is fair是idea的同位语。

3. It reminded me of something a teacher said when I was a high school student.这使我回想起我

还是中学生的时候老师说过的话。

Remind sb of sth “使某人回想起······”。又如：The picture reminded me of

The days we worked on the farm.这幅画使我想起了在农场劳动的日子。

4. We usually think that life should be fair,but we sometimes fell sorry for ourvlves.我们通常认

为生活应该是公平的，但有时却为自己感动遗憾。

feel(be) sorry for sb “为某人感到遗憾，难过”。

5. Life is full of challenges. 生活充满着挑战。

be full of… “充满······”。又如：The bus is full of people. 公共汽车挤满了人。

6. American-born Chine 在美国出生的华人，通常被称为美籍华人或ABC。

7. But he never gace up and went on to finish school. 但是他从不放弃，而继续完成了学业。

give up “放弃”。又如：She has given up the idea. 他已放弃了那种想法。

go on to do sth “（干完某事之后）接着干某事”。又如：After he finished writing the letter, he

went on to read the text.他写完信后，接着就读课文。

PhD program “博士学位课程”，PhD（博士）是doctor of philosophy的缩写。

8. Now he is very active in teaching English and helping children who are out of school. 现在他

非常积极的从事英语教学和帮助失学孩子。

be active in doing sth“积极从事某事”。如：He is active in helping

classmates who are out of school是定语从句，修饰先行词children。

be out of“脱离，在······范围之外”。又如：The sick man is out of danger

at last.病人终于脱离危险。

blame somebody el. 一个人会失败过好多次，但他永远不是一个失败者，除

非他开始责怪别人。

not…until…“直到······才······”。如：He didn’t go to bed until 10

o’clock. 他直到10点才睡觉。

教学反思

好的开始是成功的一半。根据学生的基本情况，本节课教学的关键是要激发学生

的学习兴趣，因此热身的图片选择了他们熟悉的职业，并根据课题展开对职业与

地位的讨论。课文的展开也是由一张照片开始，让学生揣摩他的身份，培养学生

的观察力和推理能力，教师的提示“腰带”让学生有更多的猜测，让他们迫不及

待地去阅读课文寻找答案。之后的教学过程就顺理成章了。在学生自主阅读课文

时教师的点睛解释也让他们茅塞顿开。总之，这堂可还是成功的。
