不知道什么原因，当下时兴的「vlog」今天突然接连登上了微博热搜榜单。

还不知道「vlog」是什么的同学，我们先来看看相关的定义。

A video blog or video log, usually shortened to vlog /vlɒɡ/, is a form of blog for which the medium is video, and is a form of web television.Vlog entries often combine embedded video (or a video link) with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts. Vlog category is popular on the video-sharing platform YouTube.

Wikipedia的介绍中指出，vlog可以看成是video和blog或者video和log的合成词（前者的说法更多），意思是“视频博客”或者是“视频日志”。

当然，vlog除了用作名词，也可以作为动词，即表示“拍vlog”，那么拍vlog的人就称为vlogger。

one take

其中in one take 一镜到底，take表示一个电影场景、一个动作、一首歌曲等的“一次拍摄；一次录制”（an occasion when a film scene, song, action etc is recorded）举个：

We had to do six takes for this particular scene.

这一个镜头我们不得不拍了六次。

cut

cut应该都比较熟悉了，所谓的“剪视频”，表示“剪辑（影片）”（to put the parts of a film together so that they make a continuous story, and get rid of the parts you do not want）

顺便补充，cut的几个常见又不那么熟悉的用法：

1）拍电视电影中，经常听到的导演口令：Cut!表示“停！”（Cut! spoken said by the director of a film to tell people to stop acting, filming etc）

2）另外，我们经常在电脑上的剪切、复制、粘贴等操作中的“剪切”英文就是cut，解释为“to remove something from a document or file on a computer”，举个：

To cut text, press Control + X.

要剪切文本可按控制键加X键。

当然，复制用的就是copy，粘贴则是paste。

3）cut corners表示“（做事）图省事，贪便宜，取捷径”（to do something in the easiest, cheapest, or fastest way），举个：

There's a temptation to cut corners when you're pushed for time, but it's not worth it.

时间紧迫时你会很想走捷径，但这么做并不值得。

接着再来看vlog的其它定义，剑桥词典（Cambridge Dictionary）给出的释义为：a video blog: a record of your thoughts, opinions, or experiences that you film and publish on the internet. 视频博客，就是对日常的思考、观点、经历或者体验的记录。

柯林斯词典（Collins Dictionary）的释义：A vlog is a t of videos that someone regularly posts on the internet in which they record their thoughts or experiences or talk about a subject.

牛津词典（Oxford Dictionary）的释义：A personal website or social media account where a person regularly posts short videos. 牛津词典中还提到，vlog的起源于21世纪初。Origin：Early 21st century: blend of video and blog.

blend

此处表示“混合词（用另外两个词的首尾连接而成的）”，英文解释为“a word formed by joining together the beginning and the end of two other words”举个：

"Brunch" is a blend of "breakfast" and "lunch".

“早午餐”是“早餐”与“午餐”的混合词。

此外，blend也可以表示不同事物的“融合，结合”（a mixture of different things that combine together well），如：a blend of youth and experience 年轻而且有经验。

vlog主题丰富，通常为作者个人生活日常小事的记录。SixthTone曾对B站的vlog标题做了数据分析，发现vlogger发布的视频中，最常见的主题有：Routine、Me以及Life。
