那么，你知道该如何用英语来表达“眼镜度数”吗？

很多同学的第一反应是不是“glass degree”？

但这个表达是错误的！

不是所有的“度数”都能用“degree”！

“degree”可以表示“数量；程度；水平”，它还有“度，度数”的意思。

但是它尤指温度或角度的度量单位，通常在数字后用符号°来表示。

“degree”有两个比较常用的表达，写作和口语中都可以用到。

如果是说眼睛近视的度数，我们可以说“dioptre”[daɪˈɑːptər]，

它的意思是“屈光度，折光度”

近视度数 = Negative Diopters

远视度数 =Positive Diopters

而近视的医学专业术语是Myopia，但日常生活中，大家会说：nearsighted / shortsighted

astigmatism 散光，散视

这表明没有明显的散光。

有些朋友可能不近视，反而有点远视，远视用英语该怎么说呢？

hyperopia/long-sighted/far-sighted 远视

Examples of refractive error are myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

屈光不正的例子有近视、远视和散光。

presbyopia 老花眼，老年远视

One person's reading glass for presbyopia[ˌprezbiˈoʊpiə] can be the same as another's distance glass.

一个人的老花眼眼镜可能和另一个人的远视眼镜是一样的。

如何询问和回答“眼镜度数”？

因为在国外，配眼镜是一种医学行为

所以问别人眼睛度数的时候，可以说：

What's your eyeglass preion?（preion这里指“眼镜度数”）

What is your eyesight?

How strong are your glass?

而回答“我近视/远视300度”，可以说：

I am nearsighted/farsighted with 3.0 diopters.

或者直接说：

3.0 diopters（300度）

“度数深浅”如何表达？

询问度数深浅，其实是想问近视是否严重。

可以用：sightly / extremel轻微 /严重

I'm extremely nearsighted，my eyesight is getting wor.

我近视很严重，视力越来越差。
