Step3:DisableSELinux

BecauthenewerversionofHPLIPisnotpartoftheSELinuxpolicy--SELinuxneedstobe

disabled.

Changethelinefrom"Enforcing"to"Disabled".

Step4:DownloadHPLIP

Note

WerecommendthatyoudownloadtheHPLIPtarballtoyourhomeordesktopdirectory.

eretoDownloadtheRegularTarball

edirectorywhereyoudownloadedtheHPLIPtarball.

Example:

cd~/Desktop

ressthetarball.

Enterthiscommand:

Thiswillcreateadirectorywiththesamenameasthetarballfile.

Step5:ConfigureHPLIPforinstallation

Thisstepconfiguresthedevelopmentenvironmentandchecksthatyoursystemisreadyto

installHPLIP.
