《欧阳晔决狱》原文及翻译

　　欧阳晔治鄂州。民有争舟而相殴致死者，狱久不决。晔自临其狱，坐囚于庭中，去其桎梏而饮食之，食讫，悉劳而还之狱。独留一人于庭，留者色变而惶顾。欧阳晔曰：“杀人者汝也！”囚佯为不知所以，曰：“吾观食者皆以右手持箸，而汝独以左。今死者伤在右肋，非汝而谁？”囚泣涕服罪。

　　【文学常识】

　　欧阳晔，江西庐陵人，系欧阳修之叔父。宋大中祥符年间，为随州推官。

　　《智囊全集》初编于明代天启六年(1626年)，后经明代著名学者冯梦龙增补，重刊时将原名《智囊》改名为《智囊补》，其他版本也称《智囊全集》、《智囊增补》、《增广智囊补》等。全书共收上起先秦、下迄明代的历代智囊故事1200余则，依内容分为二十八卷，是一部中国人民智慧的创造史和实践史。书中所表现的人物，无论是叱咤风云的帝王将相，还是普通的平民百姓，都在运用智慧和谋略创造历史。它既是一部反映古人巧妙运用聪明才智来排忧解难、克敌制胜的处世奇书，也是中国文化史上一部篇幅庞大的智谋锦囊。

　　宋朝人欧阳晔（字日华）治理鄂州政事时，百姓中有州民为争船互殴而死的人，案件悬了很久没有判决。欧阳晔亲自来到监狱，把囚犯带出来，让他们坐在庭院中，除去他们的'手铐与脚镣，给他们吃的喝的。吃完后，善加慰问后再送回监狱，只留一个人在庭院中，这个人显得很惶恐不安。欧阳晔说：“杀人的是你！”这个人假装不知道什么原因，欧阳晔说：“我观察吃饭的时候人都使用右手拿筷子，只有你是用左手，被杀的人伤在右边肋骨，不是你还是谁？”这个囚犯没有话回答了，只能一边流泪一边认罪。
