【第一篇:猴子捞月】

Monkeys fishing month

  One day,a little monkey is playing by the well.

  He looks in the well and shouts :

  “Oh!My god!The moon has fallen into the well!”

  An older monkeys runs over, takes a look,and says,

  “Goodness me!The moon is really in the water!”

  And olderly monkey comes over.

  He is very surprid as well and cries out:

  “The moon is in the well.”

  A group of monkeys run over to the well .

  They look at the moon in the well and shout:

  “The moon did fall into the well!Come on!Let’get it out!”

  Then,the oldest monkey hangs on the tree up side down ,with his feet on the branch .

  And he pulls the next monkey’s feet with his hands.

  All the other monkeys follow his suit,

  And they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.

  Just before they reach the moon,the oldest monkey rais his head and

  happens to e the moon in the sky,

  He yells excitedly “Don’t be so foolish!The moon is still in the sky!”

猴子捞月

  一天,有只小猴子在井边玩儿。

  它往井里一瞧,高喊道: 噢!我的天!月亮掉到井里头啦!

  一只大猴子跑来一看,说,

  “糟啦!月亮掉在井里头啦!” 老猴子也跑过来。

  他也非常惊奇,喊道:

  “糟了,月亮掉在井里头了!” 一群猴子跑到井边来,

  他们看到井里的月亮,喊道:

  月亮掉在井里头啦!快来!让我们把它捞起来

  然后,老猴子倒挂在大树上, 拉住大猴子的脚,

  其他的猴子一个个跟着, 它们一只连着一只直到井里。

  它兴奋地大叫:“别蠢了!月亮还好好地挂在天上呢!”

  正好他们摸到月亮的时候,老猴子抬头发现月亮挂在天上呢

【第二篇:狮子和野猪】

The Lion And The Boar

  One hot and thirsty day in the height of summer a Lion a Boar came down to a little spring at the same moment to drink. In a trice they were quarrelling as to who should drink first. The quarrel soon became a fight and they attacked one another with the utmost fury. Prently, stopping for a moment to take breath, they saw xiaogushi8 some vultures ated on a rock above evidently waiting for one of them to be killed, when they would fly down and feed upon the carca. The sight sobered them at once, and they made up their quarrel, saying, “We had much better be friends than fight and be eaten by vultures.”

  【译文】

狮子和野猪

  炎热的夏季,难耐的酷暑使人口渴,一只狮子和一只野猪同时来到一个小泉边喝水。他们立刻为谁应该先喝水而争吵起来,很快,争吵升级成了战争,他们互相攻击,斗得你死我活。就在他们喘气休息时,忽然看见几只秃鹰正坐在岩石上,显然他们正在等着看谁先败下阵来,接着就会冲过来吃掉那个尸体。一看到秃鹰,他们立刻停止了争斗,说:“我们还是成为朋友吧,总比相互争斗并被秃鹰吃掉好多了。”

【第三篇:狗占牛槽】

The dog in the manger

  A Dog was lying in a Manger on the hay which had been put there for the cattle, and when they came and tried to eat, he growled and snapped at them and wouldn’t let them get at their food. “What a lfish beast,” xiaogushi8 said one of them to his companions; “he can’t eat himlf and yet he won’t let tho eat who can.”

狗占牛槽

  一条狗躺在牛吃草的饲料槽中,而狗身下的草正是为牛准备的食料。当牛向着牛槽走过去,准备吃草时,狗不仅冲着他们大吼大叫,而且还抓咬他们,不让牛吃干草。“这条狗太自私了!”其中一头牛对同伴说。“他自己不能吃干草,还不让能吃的去吃。”

【第四篇:农夫和苹果树】

The peasant and the apple-tree

  A Peasant had an Apple-tree growing in his garden, which bore no fruit, but merely rved to provide a shelter from the heat for the sparrows and grasshoppers which sat and chirped in its branches. Disappointed at its barrenness he determined to cut it sparrows and the grasshoppers saw what he was about to do, they begged him to spare it, www.xiaogushi8 and said to him, “If you destroy the tree we shall have to ek shelter elwhere, and you will no longer have our merry chirping to enliven your work in the garden.” He ,however, refud to listen to them, and t to work with a will to inside and contained a swarm of bees and a large store of honey. Delighted with his find he threw down his axe, saying, “The old tree is worth keeping after all.”

  Utility is most men’s test of worth.

农夫和苹果树

  有一个农夫,他的园子里有一棵苹果树,这棵树并不茂盛,只能为麻雀和蝉提供一个可栖息的地方,让他们坐在枝桠上歇息和喋喋不休地 。农夫认为这棵树没有什么大用处,决定把它砍掉,于是便拿起斧头走过去砍起树来。然而,那些蝉和麻雀看到农夫的行为后,便请求农夫留下这棵树,并且对他说:“如果你砍掉这棵树,我们还得另外再找一个窝,而你也不会在园子里干活时听到我们为你鼓劲的欢快歌声了。”农夫没理睬他们,继续拿起斧头砍起这棵树,几斧下去之后,树上出现一个洞,他发现树洞里有蜂蜜和蜂巢。他高兴地连忙抛下斧头,说:“这棵树还真是值得保留下来。”

  寓意:实用性是大多数人对价值的检验。

【第五篇:胀肚的狐狸】

The bulging belly fox

  A hungry Fox found in a hollow tree a quantity of bread and meat, which some shepherds had placed there against their return. Delighted with his find he slipped in through the narrow aperture and greedily devoured it all. But when he tried to get out again he found himlf so swollen after his big meal that he could not squeeze through the hole, and fell to whining and groaning over his misfortune. Another Fox, happening to pass that way, came and asked him what the matter was; and, on learning the state of the ca, said, “Well, my friend, I e nothing for it but for you to stay where you are till you shrink to your former size; you’ll get out then easily enough.”

  【译文】

胀肚的狐狸

  饥饿的狐狸在一棵中空的树干中发现了一些牧羊人存留的面包和肉。高兴之余,他立即通过那狭窄的缝隙挤进去,贪婪的大吃起来。然而,当他吃饱之后,却发现自己的肚子胀鼓鼓的,即便费了九牛二虎之力,却怎么也钻不出那个洞来,便在树洞里唉声叹气。另一只狐狸恰巧经过那里,听到他的呻吟,便过去问他原因。听明白缘由后,那只狐狸便说道:“我的朋友,你就老老实实待在里边吧,等到恢复了钻进去之前的身材,你就能轻松地出来了。”
