①What surprid me most was his way of speaking. (what 表事情)
②She is no longer what she ud to be. (what 表状况)
③We were all confud by what he s aid. (what 表言语)
④He had driven for what emed three hours. (what 表时间)
⑤They finally reached what was called “a lonely island”. (what 表地点)
2. Exhausted,_I slid into bed and fell fast asleep.
1)He lay on the bed, awake.
2)What made the parents happy was that children came back home, safe and sound.
