摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve impact resistance and vibration resistance and to prevent the degradation in display performance by dust, etc., by arranging a frame having an opening for irradiation with light source light opposite to a liquid crystal cell and disposing an elastic material along the opening therebetween. SOLUTION: The
planar liquid crystal cell 1 formed by aling liquid crystals between a pair of electrode substrates and the picture frame-like plastic frame 5 having the opening for irradiation with the light source from a back light 6 to the liquid crystal cell 1 are arranged to face with each other. The elastic material 9 consisting of silicone rubber, etc., along the
opening is arranged therebween. All of shapes, such as square (rectangular parallelepiped shape), circle and ellip, ud for ordinary packing members are usable as the ctional shape of the elastic material 9. The elastic material 9 is fitted into the grooves 10 formed on the four sides on the inner periphery of the frame 5. A picture frame-like metallic outside frame cover (bezel) 2 covers a TAB 8, etc. The peripheral edges of the front surface of the liquid crystal cell 1 are supported by spacer rubber 7. The liquid crystal cell 1 is held by the bezel 2 and the frame 5 and is held by screwing.
