I . Warming up ( 12 mins )
Step 1:Lead in
T: Class begins. Good morning, boys and girls. ( Ss respond )
T: I am glad to e you all. First of all , let me introduce mylf. My name is Amanda. ( Write on the blackboard.) I hope we’ll study happily together in the following weeks. Now, would you tell me what you will do when you meet your frie

Step 2 . Have a discussion and make a list.
T: I believe all of you have good manners. But in the daily life, some have…right, bad manners. ( Write on the blackboard ) Well, now plea think of your own behaviors or tho of the people around you. Then discuss with your partner and make a list of some good manners and bad manners.

T: Thank you! Tho really exist. It ems you watch carefully in your
daily life. …Ok, plea turn to Page 42, here are some good manners for you to keep in mind. Plea remember the tips. Especially don’t laugh at, stare at or make jokes about disabled people .Becau your stare will make them feel uneasy ,while your jokes will hurt them .
Step3: Talk about some pictures in the text on Page 36.
T: Now, turn to Page 36. Plea look at the four pictures. What are they about? ( Ss respond ) Right, they are about making apologies. Do you know“apology”? Well, it’s the noun form of apologi ( BE )or apologize ( AE ). When we do so有效祛斑

T: Now, another question, have you ever been to a party? ( Ss respond ) Wonderful! So you know what the scene would be like at a party? Maybe there are lots of …(people)… and all the chairs are taken or covered with what…(yeah, coats or bags )

T: Now, imagine we are at a party .We are all in a good mood, so we politely talk to each other and make excus when troubling others. Now, some troubles really happen. Plea look at the three situations on Page 37. Do you understand what happens in all the situations? Situation one, you know what “introduce” mean? ( Ss respond ) Right, it means making persons known by name to one another .esp. in the usual formal way, just as I did just now.
