在读写续写过程中，在沿用原文语言特点的情况下，围绕原文主旨，续写部分可利用恰当的词语描述人物的外貌、性格，丰富续写情节，从而进一步提升续写语篇的可读性。

外貌性格描写的3个原则
①进行外貌描写时，可写对一个人的总体印象，也可以抓住人物重要的外貌特征或性格特点进行描述。如攻略3例题原文中第一段对妈妈性格的描写，采用了loving, sweet, abnt-minded和forgetful等形容词，使一个可爱又健忘的妈妈的形象跃然纸上。
②可以具体描述人物的五官、着装，甚至可以配上动作描述。
③在描写人物片段时，可写你对人物印象最深的一两点，再加上一两句人物评价。
