CONSTITUTION:A constant-speed roll device 2, for nding a metallic stock 1 to the arrow three direction at a fixed speed while holding the stock 1, a heating device 8 and a cooling device 11 are arranged in ries. A length meter 7A is arranged at the outlet side of the device 11, and a variable-speed tension roll device 18 is arranged at its downstream side. The heated stock 1 is stretched and tapered while increasing its speed from the constant-speed nding condition of roll-device 2 along a quadratic curve through the device 18. The deceleration condition of a pattern of straight or curved line, is provided to the tangential direction of a pattern of quadratic curve, from a part of 5-20% before the completion of this work.
