This poem is from althoughAirs of Kings·the Book of Songs. As is said in Mao’s Preface “Millet Droops Low is a nostalgic and ntimental poem written by a grandee, who pasd by the former capital and saw the dilapidated scene of the old imperial palace and ancestral temple which had become a millet field.” This poem is the first one of Airs of Kings.
