膜翅⽬泥蜂总科（Ｓｐｈｅｃｏｉｄａｅ）昆⾍的通称.成⾍A体光滑少⽑，⾊暗，具红或黄⾊斑纹.腹部常有柄.触⾓⼀般丝状，⼏乎位于颜⾯中央部.雌１２节，雄１３节.前胸背板的两侧不延伸接触肩板.⾜细长，胫节及跗节具刺或栉.腹部⼀般可见６—７节，两侧具缘或刺.具腹柄的泥蜂，柄由１或２节组成.成⾍捕⾷性，吸⾷昆⾍、蜘蛛等猎物体液或取⾷花粉、花蜜.⼤多数于⼟中筑巢，少数在树枝或⽵筒内筑巢，成⾍将猎物携回，产卵于上并封闭巢室，孵出幼⾍即以猎物为⾷.如敖⾊泥蜂（Ｐｏｄａｌｏｎｉａｏｂｏ），长１３—１９ｍ。⿊⾊.腹部第⼀⾄三节背板红⾊；各节光滑⽆刻点.腹柄短，雌⾍不超过后⾜第⼀跗节的长度.捕⾷鳞翅⽬幼⾍.分布于华东、华南、西南.⽇本蓝泥蜂（Ｃｈａｌｙｂｌｉｏｎｊａｐｏｎｉｃｕｍ），长A１—２２ｍ。体铜蓝⾊，具⾦属光泽.翅褐⾊透明，翅端⾊略深.腹柄向上弯曲.捕⾷蜘蛛，分布北⾄辽宁，南⾄四川、福建、台湾.
