一般过去时(The simple past ten)
一、概念
一般过去时表示过去某一时间内发生的动作或存有的状态，常与表示过去的时间状语连用。如yesterday (yesterday morning/ afternoon/ evening…), last night (week, month, year…), 一段时间+ago (two days ago / a week ago / three years ago…), in 1990, (in1997…) , just now, long long ago等。
二、句式
1、 Be 动词的一般过去时
肯定句：主语+was (were) +宾语
如：She was l ate yesterday.／We were late yesterday.
否定句：主语+was (were) +not+宾语
如：She wasn’t late yesterday. We weren't late yesterday.

回答：Yes, she was / No, she wasn’t. / Yes, we were. / No, we weren’t.
2、实义动词的一般过去时
肯定句：主语+动词过去式+宾语
如：I went home yesterday.
否定句：主语+didn't +动词原形+宾语
如：I didn't go home yesterday.
farger疑问句：Did +主语+动词原形+宾语
如：Did you go home yesterday?
回答：Yes, I did. / No, I didn't.
三、动词过去式的规则变化。（不规则变化见课本39 / 124页）
1）一般情况下在词尾直接加-ed。如：play―play ed work―work ed
2）以e结尾的动词只加-d。如：like― like d love―love d

3）以辅音字母+y结尾的动词，变y为i，再加ed。
如：study―stud ied carry―carr ied
4）重读闭音节，以“辅音+元音+辅音”结尾，双写最后一个字母，再加-ed。
如：stop―stop ped plan―plan ned
四、-ed的发音规则：
1）在清辅音后面读[t]. work―work ed help―help ed
2）在浊辅音或元音后读[d]. learn―learn ed cover―cover ed
3）在[t] 和[d] 后读[ɪd]. wait― wait ed need―need ed
