Fate is sometimes not very kind to policemen like mylf.Take as an example the recent trial in which I was involved.When I arrested the young lad I had felt sure he was guilty I had been following him around for a couple of hours and he conduct himlf suspiciously.He had been wandering about and it emed to me that he was looking for an opportunity to steal.When I arrested him, his casual manner only rved to confirm my suspicions.I thought I had at last caught the thief who had been troubling the area for so long.However, my joy was only temporary.When I saw the brilliant solicitor the boy's father had hired to defend him, I knew we didn't stand a chance.It turned out that the boy was simply a student who was looking for temporary employment before going to university.If only he had been a bit more helpful when we arrested him, he could have saved us all a lot of time and trouble.It's enough to make one turn against students!
