询问“情况”的常用句型

在日常交流中，经常会遇到询问情况的场合，现将几种常见说法归类如下：
①What about…? 与 How about…?
用来询问别人的情况，打探消息或者提出建议征求对方的意见等。介词about后面可以接用名词、代词或动名词（包括动名词复合结构）。
How about a cup of tea?

②What be … like? 与 What … look like?
一般用于询问天气情况或者人的内在或外在特征（外貌特征、品质特征等等）。
What … look like?一般只用来询问外在特征。

■如果句子的主语是事物时，则是询问事物的外在特征、基本特点或者详细情况。对下列句子的划线部分进行提问时，皆可使用what is / are… like?
The trees are very tall.
The yard is square with many flowers in itvice versa.

玉米的营养价值■注意：在有些情况下，用how be…?与what be … like? 差别并不大，二者可以换用。在这种情况下，句子的主语往往是一些这样的词，它们本身具有经常变化的含义。
The climate is quite mild in Henan province.

→How is the climate in Henan province?

→How are things with you?

■但即使在这种情况下，还是有些细微差别：what be … like? 询问的是一般情况，多是静态；how be …?则是询问变化了的情况或“人”的身体状况。
How is Mary? How are you? How is your mother?
③How are you getting along/on with…?
用来询问别人的工作、学习等的进展情况或者与人相处的情况。
How are you getting along with your studies recently?
“How are the weavers getting on with the cloth?” the Emperor asked.

用来询问对某人或某事物的看法、意见、观点等。
