We’ve been sailin g for threeand a half months and travel led nearly ten thousa nd Lis. Now the notlas were sailin g on the Atlant ic. I walked out onto the top of the submari ne to e when it can’t sail on that land, we coulde cape Vincen t and Spainand we were travel lingup for coast of Portug al. The a was very roughand we all went back down the stairs to my room.

“Tonigh t we escape”,said Nedlan d riou sly. “W e agreeto wait for a good opport unity and by tonigh t we’ll only be a few kilome tersfrom Spain”. He came clor to me, “this evenin g, at 9 o’clock,hh. At that time, captai n Nemo will probabl y be in bed. We will go to the stairs and out onto the platfo rm. We wouldtake a small boat and put it into the a, then we will row to Spain. Everyt hingi s readyfor tonigh t.” Then Ned Land and Coni l went to theirroomsto wait for the evenin g.

It’s about 6 o’clock I heardthe tank fillin g up with the water and the notlas went under the waves. I stayed in my room and waited. At 7 o’clockI ate my dinner. I got dresse d in my a boots, al-skin hat and warm clothe s and went into the muum room. Sudden ly I felt a shockand realiz ed the notlas was on the bottom of the ocean. How couldwe escape when we are at the bottom of the a, I though t.
At that moment, captai n Nemo came into the muum and said,”ah, profes sor, I was lookin g for you. Do you know the history of Spain?”” Not very well”, I replie d. “well, on 22nd Octobe r,1702, a battle took placeon the a in V ega Bay. Englis h shipsdestro yed many Spanis h shi ps whi chsank to the bottom of the ocean. Howeve r, the Spanis h ships were full of silver, gold and jewels. Just then, the metal shutte rs opened and I looked out of the glass window to the water—the wholeocean was lit by the strong light o f and I coulde sailor s from the notlas in theirdivi ng suits. They were collectingall the gold, silver and jewels from wodden boxeson the a fl oorand bringi ng them back to the notlas. This is the place wherethe Spanis h ships sank”, said captain Nemo. I coulde shipwr

All I have to do is collect all thetreasu re. When the sailors had finished, they came back to the notlas and we contin ued sailin g under the a.
Our plan to escape had failed, so I went to bed. The next mornin g, the notlas went up to the surface and we all went to the platfo rm. We couldn’t e anythi ng except for the a. We were sai lin g southwards, away from Europe. Ned was very sad. “well,Ned,wedon’t have a lot of blood, do we?” I
said.“No, the captai n stoppe d everytime we want to escape”, he replie d. “but next time, we will be succes sful”. Laterthat evenin g, captai n Nemo came to e me. “I have an idea, Mr I”he said. “you have en the bottom of the a during the day? Wouldyou like to e it on a dark night? It will be a diffic ult walk and we will have to climbon a water mounta in”. “I wouldlike to go very much”, I replie d. “ok, let’s go”, he said.

And we put on our diving suits. It was midnig ht, and the water was very dark. Captai n Nemo pointe d to a red glow in the distan ce, and we starte d walkin g toward s it. As I looked to the red light, I realiz ed that it is some from the top of an enormo us under-water mounta i n. At one o’clock, we go toward the mounta i n. The part was full of a weed and I had to climbover rocksand dead underwat

Afterquite a climb, we were at the top and I looked down the other side of the mounta i n. Therewas a huge volcan o, and I coulde red fire comi ng out of the hole in the bottom of the mounta i n. On the ground next to the volcan o, I coulde a town. It was comple telyruined, but I couldstill e hous, church es and street s. Captai n Nemo wrotethe word-Atlant is on a rock. We stayed therel ookin g at the lost underwa ter ci ty for an hour. Then the captai n pointe d back down the mounta in, and we made our way back to the notlas.
The next day, I woke up very late. The shutte rs were open and I coulde that we were travellingover Atlant is. At 4 o’clock, we pasd oo island s and we were travel lingacross the ooo

On March14th, a groupof whales swam alongsi de the notlas. We were sittin g on the platfo rm. Captai n Nemo came onto the platfo rm to look at the whales. “look over that”, he said and poi nte d to someth ing in the distan ce. “do you e thoblackanimal s swimmi ng toward s us. They are killer whales. They are cruel animal s and they kill other whales. We must attack them before they kill all the whales in the a”. The notlas has a huge hhh at the front and we will attack them with it. We all went down into the submari ne and looked out of the glass window. The notlas started to kill the whales and after an hour we all went back up to the platfo rm. The a was covere d with dead whales and the notlas was floati ng in its blood. Captai n Nemo sailed next to the dead whaleand two sailors climbe d from top of it. They took all the milk from its ooo and pumped it into largeglassbottle

It was felt warm and its smell made me feel sick. “It’s delici ous”, he said. “it’s different from cow’s milk and it’s very important for making butter and cheese.” I risked the tasteand actual ly it was delici ous. Then the notlas left the a of bloodand travel led down toward s the SouthPole.
