1.构成
形容词有原级，比较级和最高级三种构成，比较级和最高级有规则和不规则变化，变化如下：
（1）单音节词和少数以er， ow结尾的双音节词在词尾后加er，est
原级 比较级 最高级
eg. calm calmer calmest
clever cleverer cleverest
smart smarter smartest
（2）以e 结尾的单音节词，词尾只加-r ,-st
原级 比较级 最高级
eg. fine finer finest
late later latest
(3) 重读闭音节以一个辅音字母结尾的单词，双写辅音字母加-er –est
原级 比较级 最高级
eg. big bigger biggest
hot hotter hottest
4)以辅音字母加y结尾，变y 为i 加-er –est
原级 比较级 最高级
eg. happy happier happiest
dry drier driest
(5) 在多音节词前用more, most 英语单词速记法口诀表示

(6)不规则变化

This is my elder brother.
He is 2 years older than (比) I.
Farther 具体/ further, 更深远的, 抽象
Eg: SH is far from CQ.
BJ is farther from CQ than SH.
This meeting has a further meaning.
2. 比较级用法结构: 比较级用于cathay2个人或2个事情之间的比较
(1) “A比B更怎样”：
A be + 比较级+than B
A have +比较级 sth than B
Eg. He is taller/shorter than I.
my hair is longer than yours.= I have longer hair than you.

(2) 越来越怎样
Adj.+er and adj.+er /more and more+adj.
Eg. It’s bigger and bigger .
The tree is more and more beautiful.
The earth is getting ______ and ______ .(warm)
China is _____________ beautiful.
(3) “两者中更…的那个”：
the +比较级+of+ the two
This watch is the cheaper of the two.
He is the better of the two.
Of the two girls ,Lily is the smarter
Tom is the thinner of the twins.
(4) “越怎样就越怎样”：
the +比较级+主谓， the +比较级+ 主谓
my day作文the more+原形+主谓,the more+原形+主谓
The smaller it is, the nicer it is.
The more I e him, the more I like him.
The faster he runs, the happier we are.
The less the homework is, the happier we will be.
The busier he is ,the happier he feels.
3. 最高级表示3个或3者以上 的人或事物相比，adj最高级前加the，句尾常有（in，of）表范围。
(1) 在某个范围中是最怎么样的
the +最高级+ in (男生祛痘的小窍门比较范围)
eg: 他是三班最高的男生。
He is the tallest (boy) inconditioner是什么意思 Class 3.
她是我们班年纪最大的。
She is the oldest in our class.
(2) 在…中是最怎么样的
the +最高级+of (比较对象)
eg. 它是所有猫中最可爱的。
It is the nicest of all the cats.
Mary是我所有朋友中最小的。
Mary is the youngest of all my friends.
这本书是所有中最好的。
pb是什么元素This book is the best of all (the books).
它是三个中最好吃的。
It is the most delicious of the three.
她是四个女孩中最高的。
She is the tallest of the four girls.
(3) “最…的之一”：
one of the + adj. 最高级+n复数
eg. 姚明是最好的篮球运动员之一。
Yao Ming is one of the best basketball players.
长江是中国最长的河流之一。
Changjiang River (Yangtze River) is one of the longest rivers in China./ of all the rivers.
YH is one of the worst boys.
(4). 第几…., the+ 序数词+ 最高级+ n
Eg: The Yellow River is the cond longest river in China.
Peter is the third tallest student in our class.
(5) 形容词最高级有时候不表示比较, 而表示“hurry up非常”, 前用a/an kate winslet修饰, = very.
Eg: This is a most beautiful park.
Autumn is a best ason.
4. 形容词和副词的原级比较 as… as
(1) A怎样学习高中数学和B相同. “A + v/ be + as + 原级 + as B”
Eg: My uncle is as tall as my brother.
Tom is as shy as John.
Her skin is as white as snow.
He runs as fast as me/ I.
My room is as big as his. My room isn’t as/ so big as his. = My room is smaller than his.
(2) A不如B怎样
“A + be not + as/so +原级+ as + B”
Eg: He is not as/so careful as I. = He is less careful than I.
The weather in Beijing is not as/so hot as that in Chongqing.
There are not as/so many books in our libraryttings as in yours. (your library)

(3). “A是B的几倍”
一倍once 两倍 twice
A be +倍数+ as+形容词原形/名词+as B
This garden is ten times as large as that one.
Tom is twice as tall as Peter.
Lucy is three times as old as Mary.
His books are twice as many as mine.
Today’s homework is twice as much as yesterday’s.
(4) A比B大几倍/几岁。。。
A be +倍数/ 岁+比较级+ than B
Eg: I am 50, Lucy is 10.
I am 5 times as old as Lucy.
= I am 4 times older than Lucy.
I am 40 years older than Lucy.
Our room is twice larger than theirs. = Our room is three times as big as theirs.
The mountain is ten times higher than that one . = The mountain is 11 times as high as that one.
