摘要：PURPOSE:To measure the position of the cross line formed by two surfaces crosd at right angles, by a method wherein ultrasonic detectors are respectively arranged in oppod relation to the predetermined surface parts of an object to be measured and the distance to one detector is calculated by utilizing the reflected wave from the predetermined line part of the object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic nsor 22 is arranged in oppod relation to the surface 24 of an object 23 to be measured while an ultrasonic nsor 22' is arranged so as to be oppod to the cross line 26 with a surface 25 which is adjacent to the surface 24 to form the recesd part along with said surface 24 in a state approaching the nsor 22. In this ca, ultrasonic waves are supplied to the nsors 22, 22' from transmission parts 32, 32' and the reflected puls from the surface 24 and the cross line 26 are received by the nsors 22, 22' to be respectively compared in the threshold levels and the amplitudes thereof by comparators 34, 34' while gates 38, 38' t the counting period of the reference pul from a generator 36 on the basis of the comparison outputs. The reference puls during this period are counted by counters 39, 39' and operation circuits 40, 40' calculate the ultrasonic pul propagating time from various counted values to calculate distances
