Later on 10 June 1215 King John was forced to agree to a document known as the"Articles of the Barons". And a formal document to record the agreement between King John and the

The Great Charter is a challenges to the King'power.For example,Claus 12 and 14 of the 1215 charter state that the king will accept the "common counl of our realm" when levying and asssing an aid or a scutage.The claus effectively meant that the monarch had to ask before raising new taxes.
