Welcome to the unit. Step1 Leading in Show some picture to the students. Let the talk about the pictures and discuss what problems each picture shows. Talk about why the persons in each picture look sad. Step2 Prentation Everybody has problems. My problem is that I sometimes feel very tired becau I have to work until midnight. What’s your problem? 2. When the students are talk about their problems, write down the following words on the blackboard: friends, homework, marks, noi, parents and sleep. Read the words 3. Some students in Class 1, Grade 9 have problems too. Let’s look at the pictures on Page 35 and complete the ntences. Try to figure out what problems they have. 4. Divide the class into groups of two. One student ask: What problem do you have? The other complete the ntences. Check the answers. Step 3 Practice 1. Divide the class into groups of two and do a survey. Talk about their problems. See what is the students’ biggest problem. 2. Tell the students when they have problems, they can ask their family members, friends or teachers for help. 3. Millie is telling her problems to her mum.
