Good morning, ladies and gentemen. This is Li Hua from Senior Three. I’m here today to share with you a good lesson from an overas Chine student living in Germany. It is a true story.
After years of hard work, this Chine student graduated with amazing academic achievements. Everyone thought he was going to get a good job easily and have a bright future. But to his disappointment, he was not even allowed the chance for an interview! The third time he was turned down, he couldn’t help telephoning the company to ask why they didn’t want him. The answer was simple, “We don’t hire dishonest people in Germany.”
What was wrong you might wonder? The truth is, shortly aften he arrived in Germany, this clever student found that it was easy to skip buying subway tickets. So, to save money, he often went without a ticket. As a result, he had been caught without a
ticket in the subway three times.
From this story, we learn that we may get short-term benefits by dishonest means, but the truth will come out sooner or later and the cost is high. So remember: honest is the best policy.

apologiToday I read an instructive speech, in which the speaker argues that honesty is the best policy by telling us a true story about an overas Chine student who couldn’t find a job becau of his dishonesty records.
I can’t agree with the speaker more. Honesty means a difference between success and will eventually bring people benefits while dishonesty may bring people short -term benefits but will surely bring disasters to them in the long run.
Examples of both aspects are countless. Take Mr. Mao, who is headmaster of ××× national model high school now, for example. In face of fierce competition, some teachers neglected their students c
heating in examinations and wor still some even cheated themlves to plea the school leaders. Mr Mao strongly oppod this phenomenon. As a result, his honesty led to his great success as a chemistry teacher and also his promotion as headmaster three years ago. An opposite example is the Sanlu milk powder company. In order to make more money, they added a toxic chemical-melamine to the milk powder they produced, which made it appear to have more protein than was actually the ca. The company made a lot of money by such an dishonest means. But when the scandal was
