·教学目标：

1、知识目标：

1) 学生在创设的情境和老师的引导下学习、理解课文，会读新单词：pilot, dentist, vet, delicious,能理解grow up, look after的意思。

2) 学生能综合运用已知句型表达自己的职业理想，并对职业进行比较，简单发表看法。

2、情感目标：

1) 让学生在学习交流中相互合作，获得自信和成就感。

2) 通过本课的学习, 树立学生的职业理想，理解工作对我们生活的意义。

3、能力目标：

1) 在课堂创设的各项任务、活动中, 提高学生综合运用各种已知句型进行英语表达的能力以及听说读写的能力。

2) 通过教师的指导与训练，培养学生掌握英语阅读的学习策略：略读(整体感知)—精读(了解大意)—细读(掌握细节)。

3) 培养学生在预设情境中猜词的能力。

·教学重点：

英国的资产阶级革命1、能综合运用已知句型表达自己的职业理想。

2、能正确把握课文结构, 了解基本信息，理解、会读课文。

·教学难点：

在创设的各项活动和任务中，让学生掌握阅读的方法和流畅正确的表达。

·教学时间：30分钟

·教学准备：

CAI课件、学生材料、单词卡片、笑脸

·教学步骤：

Step One: Warmer

I. Greetings.

初一英语学习方法II. Lead-in:

1. Watch a video.

2. Free talk. T: What jobs do you know?

3. A guessing game:

T: I have some friends. What do they do? Listen and guess!

1) She likes reading and writing. She writes many books.

2) He works at the hospital. He helps sick people.

3) She is beautiful. She is good at dancing.

4) He is very tall. He can play basketball very well.

4. Show them some photos of Yao Ming.

T: Let me show you a photo of a basketball player. Guess! Who is he? Yes. He is Yao Ming. When he was a little boy, he had a dream:’When I grow up, I’m going to be a basketball player.’

Learn to say “When I grow up”

5. Show them the four children from the text on screen.

T: Everybody has a dream for the future. The children are talking about their dreams. Let’s look and listen.

Step Two: Prentation

I. While-reading:

1. First-reading.

2. Second-reading.

1) Read the text quickly by themlves and underline the new words.

2) Ask some kids to write the new words on the blackboard. Learn to say the new words: a vet, a pilot, a dentist, delicious,etc

3. Third-reading.

1) Show them paragragh 1 on screen. Read it and answer: What is Tim going to be when he grows up? Why? Write down Tim’s dream.

2) Read the text quietly and think: What are Lucy, Bob and Candy going to be when they grow up? Why?

3) Complete the form by themlves. Ask a kid to come to the front and finish the form.

4) Let’s check.

5) Look at the form and go through the text.

5. Read the text aloud.

6. Ask kids to read their favourite parts.

7. Let’s discuss. T: Which job is interesting/boring/...?

Step Three: Extension

1. Free talk. T: Candy is going to be a teacher. How about you? What are you going to be when you grow up? Why?

2. Group work: Talk about your dreams with your classmates:

When I grow up,

I’m going to be a …

I want to …

3. Ask some kids to come to the front and share their dreams.
