⼤学英语四级阅读解题技巧-选词填空1
虽然对⼤多数⼈来说，CET4还是很简单的，但是想要拿⾼分是⽐较难的。所以我暂时分享下每个题型的解题技巧。
选词填空题：
选词填空题，即词汇理解题，占整个考题的5%。考题所给的A-O 15个选项中只有10个是正确的，我们要根据⾃⼰对⽂意的理解选出正确的选项。下⾯简单介绍下这种题的⼤致解题思路，在后期中我们会专门分析每个答案的解题思路的，
Step 1：判断考题选项的单词词性：名词、动词、副词、形容词；
名词注意单复数，动词注意是时态、语态、是否三单形式，及物动词还是不及物动词。
Step2：标明单词词性及意思。
名词-n/ns/un （复数正确写法应该是pl.un表⽰不可数名词,n表⽰克数名词单数）
edc是什么
动词原形vi或vt；现在进⾏或主动v-ing；过去或被动v-ed；主语为第三⼈称单数的⼀般现在时v-s。fengqi
副词⼤多是-ly结尾的，也有-wi表⽰按照……⽅式，就……⽽⾔
快乐的英文形容词常见词缀有：-able,-ible, -ant, -ent, -ar, -ary, -ed, -ful, -ic, -ist, -ing, -ive, -less, -ly,
-some, -y。
-ly: Friendly, lively, lovely, lonely, orderly
-some:roublesome, tiresome
-y: Snowy,healthy, wealthy, cloudy, dusty
词意：如果⾃⼰很熟的话，可以跳过，节省时间。
ttyStep3. 看题中空格前后根据句意或提⽰确定该空的单词词性以缩⼩范围。
Step4. 根据前后⽂意思选择我们已经归类的单词填空，注意要多联系前后⽂看我们填的词是否合理。（敲⿊板！！这俩才是重头戏）
Step5. 再检查⼀遍看我们的选择正不正确。

1. 名词考法：

按照我前⾯的五步法来做
Step1. 找出名词(这⾥讲的就是名词，不⽤我们⾃⼰找，跳过。)
Step2. 标明特征，我在选项后⾯⽤（）表⽰了；
词意：potential: un. 潜⼒, 潜能. Challenges: pl.挑战. Commitment: un. un.承诺，保证；委托；承担义务；献⾝. Component: n.成分，组成 contests:⽐赛
Step3.回原⽂确定空格词性（虽然这⾥讲的是名词，但我还是说明下怎么确定空格词性）。

第⼀空: reach their full ______. their后⾯的词必须是名词, full 为形容词，修饰名词.
第⼆空: Despite the excellent work and deep ______ of our nation's teachers and principals. and 连接的中⼼词前后词性应该⼀致，excellent work应和deep ______ 保持⼀致，那么______ 应该也是名词. 再者，deep为形容词，修饰名词; the + 名词(可被其它词修饰) +of 也是固定搭配.
第三空:a ______ of President Obama's year of action. a 不定冠词后⾯需要跟⼀个名词中⼼词，这⾥a 和of之间只有⼀个词，那么这个空应该是名词。同时，a后⾯跟的名词需要是可数名词单数n.
第四空:the ______ of working in high-need schools. the 定冠词后⾯跟名词.
Step4: 根据前后⽂意思选词
第⼀空:It is important that we provide teachers and principals the support they need tohelp students reach their full(1).了解句意：为⽼师和校长提供⽀持，⽽这些⽀持是为了帮助学⽣发挥其全部潜⼒(⾃⼰脑补)。如果不能读⼀遍就确定是哪个单词，那我们把选项中的名词代进去: reach their full potential/ challenges/ commitment/ component.各⾃意思：达到他们的全部潜能/挑战/承诺(或献⾝)/组成. 就potential与reach 搭配
批判思考(做题的时候脑⼦之中的瞎BB)：challenges的意思是挑战，那么应该是有难度的⼀件事。这样想，难道我们斥巨资是为了帮助学⽣遇到某些挑战?(那我觉得可能是投资⽅脑⼦有病吧，给钱不为了提供⽅便好处，⽽是为了制造更多的⿇烦) commitment表⽰承诺，投资⽅斥巨资是为了让学⽣实现诺⾔/献⾝(真理)？拜托学⽣是去学习的，对投资⽅有什么诺⾔/献⾝？即使这⾥是commitment，那针对的也该是⽼师校长给投资⽅的诺⾔(脑⼦发散的太远)。Component表⽰组成成分，投资⽅斥巨资为了帮助学⽣得到他们的组成成分，学⽣是⼀个整体，还有什么组成成分，难道眼睛⿐⼦肚⼦腿要分开
么，难道要“卖肾”么？contests 表⽰⽐赛，这⾥有⽐赛么？没有！⽂中没有⼀处地⽅隐射出⽐赛的意思！
第⼆空：Despite the excellentwork and deep (2) of our nation's teachersand principals,students in high-poverty,high-minorityschools are unfairly treated across our country. 只看前半句句意:⽼师和校长们的出⾊⼯作和______. and(和)连接的词前后表达⾊彩⼀致，⽐如：he is tall and handsome(⼜⾼⼜帅，男神级存在). 但我们不会说he is handsome and mean(卑鄙的，吝啬的) (长得帅⽽且卑鄙抠门), ⽽是he ishandsome but mean (长得帅，但是是个卑鄙抠门的货). 所以这⾥要填⼊的词应该和excellent work能够表达出相近的感情⾊彩。Potential已经选了，划掉. deep challenges/ commitment/ component：要形容challenge应该⽤huge表⽰挑战难度do
⾼，commitment表⽰承诺或者献⾝，这⾥虽然没有达到献⾝的程度，但是deep commitment表⽰⽼师们的殷勤奉献，是符合语境的. component表⽰组成部分，要形容组成成分多或复杂⽤various/different/ complicated,⽽不是deep这种有深度含义的词。deep contests：有深度的⽐赛，没有任何感情⾊彩，和 excellent work不搭，同时这⾥也没有说有什么竞争⽐赛.
第三空：Today's announcement is another importantstep forward in improvingaccess to a quality education, a ______ of President Obama's year of action. a后⾯接可数名词单数, 所以锁定compone
nt.从句⼦上分析，a引导的同位语句⼦应该是解释前⾯的句⼦或中⼼词.前⾯的句⼦是在说announcement is xxx step xxx to a quality education.这⾥a _____ of 解释的是education，同位语就在名词后⾯，不会隔太远.这⾥说education是President Obama 年度计划中的…… (其中⼀项). Education算是action的组成部分之⼀，所以是component.
第四空: Later today, Secretary Duncan will lead a roundtablediscussion with principals and school teachersfrom across the country about the (4) of working in high-need schools and how to adopt promising practices for supporting great educators in the schools. roundtable discussion：圆桌会议.上⾯这个句⼦太长，把那些杂七杂⼋的妖艳成分去掉，留主⼲和空格部分：SD will lead a discussion with sb about the ______ of working in schools. SD就XXX的问题将会组织⼀次会议. 好了，既然是组织会议，那么会议的内容要么是总结，要么是展望(讨论各种问题解决办法). 所以就是challenges. 或者，⾼校建设会遇到各种困难，挑战，再看后⾯谈论到如何运⽤这些promising practices.
2. 副词(adv)考法：
The U.S. Departmentof Educationis making efforts to ensure that all students have equal access to a quality education. It is
______ important that we provide teachers and principals the support they need to help students.
A. critically (adv)
B. properly(adv)
空格前⾯是系动词is，后⾯是形容词important，因此空格处需要填⼊⼀个副词，⽤来修饰形容词important. 这⾥主语是it，所以很有必要去前⼀句的内容. 上句表达的意思，US教育部正努⼒保证所有的孩⼦都有权利接受⾼质量的教育. 这⾥没有任何转折词(but, however, while), 说明下句内容应是承接上句，表明为XXX的重要性。因此，这⾥要填⼊的词应该能进⼀步衬托出important的意思. Critically 表⽰“⾮常，相当，很”的副词，与important表达“⾄关重要”的意义, ⽽properly意思是“合理地，正确地”，和此处⽂意不符，因此可以排除。同时，it is critically important that句⼦还是很重要的，写作中出现了就是加分项呀！
