教师节快乐 英文摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain the title magneto-optical crystal having a large Faraday rotational angle with its small temp. change, by forming the crystal with Bi- substituted rear-earth element-iron garnet having a specified chemical composition. CONSTITUTION:In the Bi-substituted rear-earth element-iron garnet, the chemical composition is shown by the formula [Re is Lu, Yb, and (Lu+Yb), 0.5<=x<=1.3, and
0.1<=y<=0.7]. In the garnet, the magnetization by the iron is not practically changed even when the rare-earth element (Gb) is replaced by other rare-earth elements (Lu, Yb). When Bi is substituted, the interaction between the iron atoms is intensified, the temp. change of the magnetization of iron is reduced, and the temp. change of the Faraday rotational angle is also reduced. By the magneto-optical crystal, a magneto-optical crystal having a large Faraday rotational angle with its small temp. change can be epitaxially grown in a liq. pha while matching the lattices with a substrate.
