a concrete reprentation of an object or nsory experience. Typically, such a reprentation helps evoke the feelings associated with the object or experience itlf. Many images are conveyed by figurative language. An image may be visual, olfactory, tactile, auditory, gustatory, abstract and kinaesthetic.
