automatic transmission 3.SOLUTION: Engine torque is lowered on the basis of a target input shaft rotation lowering rate ΔNin which is changed according to a progress degree so that an input shaft rotation number Nin is lowered according to a progress degree of a gear change at an inertia pha (torque-down control means). With a torque-down amount TDair corresponding to a maximum value ΔMinmax of the target input shaft rotation lowering rate as a target value, the reduction control of an intake amount of an engine 1 is started before the inertia pha is started (steps ST3 to ST5: intake amount control part), and when the inertia pha is started, ignition timing is retarded with a torque-down amount TDig corresponding to the target input shaft rotation lowering rate ΔNin as a target value (steps ST6 to ST 8: ignition timing control part).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
