Pre-task preparatons
询问学生每天放学后的活动。
T: What do you usually do after school?
S1: I usually read books and listen to music.
S2: I usually ride a bike.
把学生分成四人小组,请每位学生讲述自己每天早晨,中午和晚上做的事情。
S1:I get up at ven oclock in the morning. I brush my teeth and wash my face . Then I go to school . I eat lunch at school. In the evening. I always do my homework and read newspapers.
While-task procedures
在黑板上写下“170”,让学生用英文快速读出数字。根据学生的回答引出句型:I 170 centimetres tall. How tall are you ?
T: (write 170 on the blackboard ) What number is it ?
S1: Its one hundred and venty.
T: One hundred and venty . I am one hundred and venty centimeters tall (show your height and writh centimeterventy on the blackboard.)
请学生跟读centimetre ,然后请学生说出自己的身高。
T:How tall are you?
除皱美白S1: I am one hundred and fifty-nine centimeters tall.
T:  How tall are you ?
S2: I am one hundred and sixty-two centimeters tall.
教师顺着上述活动中最近一个学生话语引出句型:I am fifty-nine kilograms .How much do you weigh?
T: I know you are one hundred and sixty-two centimeters tall. But how tall am I ? Do you remember?
S1:You are one hundred and venty centimeters tall.
T: Thats right. And I weigh fifty-nien kilograms. (write kilogram and weigh on the black board)
请学生跟读kilogram, 然后请学生说出自己的体重。
T:  How much do you weigh?
S1: I weigh forty-tow kilograms.
T:  How much do you weigh?
S2: I weigh thirty-ven kilograms.
出示Listen and say 的图片,播放录音,学生边听边看图片。再次播放录音,教师板书对话中出现的生词taller, 帮助学生理解词义。
T:( write taller on the blackboard and ask a student to stand beside the teacher)
Look at hecollapds one hundred and fifty centimeters tall. I am one hundred and venty centimeters tall. So I amd taller.
然后分别请两个高矮不一的学生站起来,教师问:Who is taller?请全班学生回答:

播放对话录音,请学生逐句跟读,鼓励学生昼模仿录音中人物的语音语调。
教师读出反馈练习中的句子,请学生快速判断所描述的是Joe还是Georger 的角色,有感情地朗读对话。教师在教室内来回巡视,如果学生有困难,及时给予帮助。
