Rules of Residence and Code of Conduct in FENU dormitory for international citizens
The Prent Rules of Residence and Code of Conduct in FENU dormitory for international citizens are compiled in accordance with the following laws and regulations:
∙Federa l law “About restriction on smoking tobacco” # 87-ФЗ as of July 10, 2001;
∙Order “About measures on restriction of smoking tobacco at Far Eastern National University” # 156/4 as of September 17, 2001;
∙Order “About strengthening fire prevention measures at Far Eastern National University” # 208/4 as of November 27, 2003;
∙Order # 26 as of May 13, 2002;
∙Regulations of FENU Dormitory for students.
I.Accommodation in FENU dormitory for international citizens
As a rule, citizens of different nationalities are accommodated in one room.
Accommodation is provided according to the referral signed by Director of FENU Department of International Programs.

Students dismisd from FENU lo their accommodation rights and must check out of the dormitory within two days.
According to FENU President’s Order # 237/3 of August 10, 2006, the payment for accommodation is effected one month ahead. Students who have come to study at FENU Russian School should pay for their residence for the period of studies at Russian School according to the terms specified in the investment contract.
Violation of the requirement stated in point 1.5 by a student results in evicting the student from the dormitory within a week.
Violation of rules of residence, contract of u of the room and non-compliance with the requirements of administration concerning the number of persons, who live in the room, by internatio
nal citizens caus penalties impod on them, including deprivation of accommodation right.
If international citizens do not live in a room for more than a month without reasonable excu or if a room-related emergency aris, the room can be unlocked in the prence of the commission and with the certificate of unlocking the room drawn.
When moving in the dormitory the resident deposits a sum of 1500 roubles with the dormitory administration; the sum is paid back before resident’s departure to his/her native country.
II.Residential requirements for international citizens
International citizens can move to another room only with the permission of the dormitory administration. Living in the room other than defined in the agreement and accommodation form is the flagrant violation of the prent Rules of Residence, which caus disciplinary sanctions including deprivation of accommodation right.
International citizens living in FENU dormitory for international citizens bear responsibility for violation of safety regulations and fire protection (Order “About strengthening fire prevention measures at Far Eastern National University” # 208/4 as of November 27, 2003).

International citizens are not permitted to give their keys to the rooms and pass to the dormitory to the people who do not live in their rooms, as well as to provide rooms for the persons without the permission of the dormitory administration.
Smoking in the dormitory rooms is prohibited.
Consumption of alcohol in the dormitory is prohibited.
Gambling in the dormitory is prohibited.
To meet fire prevention requirements, international citizens are not allowed to u electrical appliances with rated power over 1 kW as well as extension cords, etc.
In ca of violating provisions 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 the following sanctions can be impod:
∙Eviction from the dormitory for smoking and consumption of alcohol in the dormitory;
∙For using electrical appliances over the established rate (order # 105/4 as of May 4, 2006) the electrical appliance is withdrawn; in ca of repeated violation the resident might be evicted from the dormitory.
To meet health conditions, international citizens are not permitted to keep reptiles, birds and other animals including domestic ones in the dormitory.
III.Rights and duties of international citizens living in FENU dormitory for international citizens International citizens living in FENU dormitory for international citizens have the right to:

International citizens living in FENU dormitory for international citizens are obliged to:
follow the prent Rules of Residence and Code of Conduct in FENU dormitory for international citizens;
handle with the dormitory’s equipment and inventory with care, kee p their rooms clean and rviceable, u water and electrical energy sparingly; when leaving the room, make sure the taps in the bathroom are turned off and drain holes in the bath and the sink are not encumbered with the dishes and other things;

et after without the permission of room-mates. The dormitory administration insists on using ear-phones while listening to music and TV programs if the sound of them disturbs room- and dormitory-mates. It is strictly prohibited to make any noi annoying neighbors;
not let any guests stay in the rooms after If an international citizen would like to invite friends and to celebrate a holiday, he/she should discuss it with his/her room-mates and carry their connt beforehand as well as get the special sanction of the dormitory administration;
not live with persons of the opposite x in one room;
keep rooms, kitchens and other common amenities clean;
not encumber rooms with large-size things, not leave kitchen slops and domestic garbage in amenity rooms;
strictly follow fire prevention regulations;
strictly obrve the above-mentioned rules (in ca of violating the rules the agreement on accommodation will be annulled and an international citizen will have to leave the dormitory);
If an international citizen living in the room is guilty of losing or damaging the inventory, the dormitory administration charges him the cost of this inventory.
The dormitory administration rerves the right of moving international citizens to other rooms in ca of repairs in their rooms.
IV.Order of hosting guests and entrance permit regime

The period of visiting the dormitory by the persons not studying in FENU is from 6: to 10: on weekdays and from 12: to 11: at weekends. Citizens living in the dormitory should meet their quests in the lobby. Besides, the guest should leave his/her ID document at the reception clerk’s place.
Responsibility for guests’ obrvation of rules of residence and code of conduct in FENU dormitory for international citizens is borne by the persons who invite them.
