A New Design Method for LEDs Array Ud in Street Lighting
Abstract: A new design method of optical system is propod in this paper for LED street illuminance . It can improve the utilization rate of light energy and satisfy the requirements of illuminance high uniformity. Non-imaging optics propod a number of methods for condary optic design of LED light source. In this paper, we u Non-imaging optics to make the design, the design method was conducted by two steps. In the first step, we calculated and simulated the original lighting performance of LEDs array. Bad on the result calculated and simulated, we constructed an initial optical system to satisfy the illuminance requirement. In the cond step, an iterative feedback modification process is employed to optimize the initial optical system, so that the degradation of performance due to insufficient control of skew rays is mitigated.

1. Introduction
Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have been widely ud in various fields as a new light-emitting device. As illumination source LED posss many advantages, including high energy conversion, small physical size, long rvice life. High-brightness LED device developed rapidly makes it possible to apply white LED in a lighting field. Due to its lower power consumption, LED had replaced traditional lamps in many occasions, such as street light, display, indoor light.
LEDs ud in modern illumination systems require the usage of condary optics. In recent years, freeform lens has becoming a trend in the optical design of LED lighting with advantages of high efficiency, preci light irradiation control, high design freedom and small size. Freeform lens is more likely to provide a new way to obtain required light intensity distribution curve by which achieving uniform illumination, so it is ud in LED street lighting.
However, due to the low power of a single-chip LED (usually about 1W), dozens or even hundreds of LEDs (each with a condary optical system) or LEDs array are needed to a
chieve a high flux level required by general lighting applications such as street lighting lamps. In this rearch, a new design method for LED uniform illumination ud in street lighting is propod, including design and optimization of light intensity distribution to achieve high uniform illumination and a new algorithm of freeform lens to generate the required light intensity distribution by LED light source ud in street lighting. This method is practical and simple. High uniform illumination is achieved successfully when the LEDs array ud in street lighting.
2. Design process
2.1. Page layout
Paper size should be 18.2×25.7 cm or 515.95×728.55 pt (B5), margins should be t for: top 2.98 cm or 84.5 pt, bottom 2.98 cm or 84.5 pt, left 2.36 cm or 67 pt, right 2.36 cm or 67 pt.

Title should be formatted using 17 pt Times bold, left adjusted. The first letter of the title should be capitalized.
2.3. Author name and affiliation
U a 9 pt Times font left adjusted to write authors name and their affiliations. Do not u initials in the list. The surname should be capitalized. Authors names should be parated with commas. Superscript numbers should be ud to refer to the affiliation and the asterisk should indicate the corresponding author. If the authors share the same affiliation, superscripts are not needed.
2.4. Main text
The text should be divided into ctions, subctions and sub subctions. The first line of the first paragraph of the ction or subction should start flush left. The first line of the subquent paragraphs within the ction or subction should be indented 16.5 pt. The text should be aligned double (left and right justified), and typed 11 pt Times font. Se
ction headings are typed 13 pt Times bold and subction headings are typed 11 pt Times bold. The first ction should be an Introduction and the last ction Conclusions. Acknowledgement should be typed 9 pt Times below the ction Conclusions. The word Acknowledgement should be typed in italics.

Equations should be left adjusted (indented 16.5 pt). The equations should be numbered in the order of appearance. They should be referred to in the main text as for example Eq. (4). Number of equation should be t at the right hand margin in parenthesis.
