原文：
I first heard the term ―medical ethics‖ in my childhood, a long time ago. Then, it referred to a small t of unambiguous, un-philosophical matters worried over only by doctor’s and their families and related exclusively to money. Doctors who advertid, overcharged their patients, surreptitiously took over the care of patients already being looked after by another doctor, or split fees with other doctors were unethical and that was what the word meant. Doctors who performed abortions were not unethical, they were immoral or criminal, or both. Human experimentation was not unethical becau there was no such activity, or perhaps it is better to say that it was not realized, even by practicing doctors, that experiments were performed on patients in the normal cour of medical practice.
