The Love of Beauty宾语
The love of beauty is an esntial part of all healthy human nature. It is a moral quality. The abnce of it is not an assured ground of condemnation, but the prence of it is an invariable sign of goodness of heart. In proportion to the degree in which it is felt will probably be the degree in which nobleness and beauty of character will be attained.
Natural beauty is an all-pervading prence. The univer is its temple. It unfolds into the numberless flowers of spring. It waves in the branches of trees and the green blades of grass. It haunts the depths of the earth and the a. It gleams from the hues of the shell and the precious stone. And not only the minute objects but the oceans, the mountains, the clouds, the stars, the rising and the tting sun---all overflow with beauty. This beauty is so precious, and so congenial to our tenderest and noblest feelings, that it is painful to think of the multitude of people living in the midst of it and yet remaining almost blind to it.
All persons should ek to become acquainted with the beauty in nature. Go into the fields or the woods, spend a summer day by the a or the mountains, and all your little perplexities and anxieties will vanish. Listen to sweet music, and your foolish fears and petty jealousies will pass away. The beauty of the world helps us to ek and find the beauty of goodness.

The Happy Door
Happiness is like a pebble dropped into a pool to t in motion an ever-widening circle of ripples. As Stevenson has said, being happy is a duty.
vineyThere is no exact definition of the word happiness. Happy people are happy for all sorts of reasons. The key is not wealth or physical well-being, since we find beggars, invalids and so-called failures, who are extremely happy.
Being happy is a sort of unexpected dividend. But staying happy is an accomplishment, a triumph of
soul and character. It is not lfish to strive for it. It is, indeed, a duty to ourlves and others.
Being unhappy is like an infectious dia. It caus people to shrink away from the sufferer. He soon finds himlf alone, mirable and embittered. There is, however, a cure so simple as to em, at first glance, ridiculous; if you don’t feel happy, pretend to be!
It works. Before long you will find that instead of repelling people, you attract them. You discover how deeply rewarding it is to be the center of wider and wider circles of good will.
Then the make-believe becomes a reality. You posss the cret of peace of mind, and can forget yourlf in being of rvice to others.

mph

Winners do not play “helpless”, nor do they play the blaming game. Instead, they assume responsibility for their own lives. They don’t give others a fal authority over them. Winners are their own boss and know it.
