The Japane have a reputation (名声) for being among the world’s most well-dresd, tidy, punctual (守时的) and polite travelers, The Telegraph reported. They line up politely and they never turn up late, rai their voices or try to take photographs in art galleries (美术馆) when they know they’re not allowed to do so.
Japane tourists greatly impresd the world during last summer’s World Cup. The country’s soccer fans made headlines for their habit of helping to clean stadiums (体育场) after matches, South China Morning Post noted.
Who are the worst tourists?
The survey also showed that another nation stood out at the same time, but in the opposite way.
British tourists ranked as the worst-behaved tourists in the world. Even local people in the UK don’t like British tourists.
Many respondents (调查对象) said that British travelers are loud, poorly dresd and behave badly. They are also stingy (吝啬的) when tipping (给小费) at restaurants and hotels, Reuters noted.
It’s not hard to be a good traveler. The Chine government issued guidelines for outgoing tourists in 2006. Tourists were reminded not to throw trash on the ground or talk loudly. They were also told to line up properly and be more polite in general.

Twin brothers score high on college test
It’s hard to get perfect scores on some tests. But twin brothers in Lexington, Massachutts, US, got perfect scores on their American College Test (ACT).
Evan Winkler, 16, and his brother Quincy, 15, are both students at Henry Clay High School. Evan took the test in June and Quincy took it in July. They both earned a score of 36, the highest score possible on the test.
In 2018, just 0.2 percent of students earned a perfect score on the ACT. “We’ve heard of siblings (兄弟姐妹) who have both earned top scores on the ACT, including twins ... However, it is very rare. It is well worth celebrating,” ACT CEO Marten Caulk said.
The ACT includes tests in English, math, reading and science, each scored on a scale (比例) of 1-36. A student’s final score is the average of the four test scores. Students who earn a 36 have probably mastered (掌握) all of the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in first-year college cours.
“They work really hard,” said Kim Thompson, their mother. “Both of them were diagnod (被诊断) with autism (自闭症) when they were babies and they have had to work really hard to prove themlves.”
Evan said he didn’t study with his brother. He spent most of his time watching videos on the ACT website and doing practice questions and quizzes. “I tried not to think about how important it was,” Evan said. “I just answered the questions as best I could and then went on my way.”
Evan’s perfect score inspired (激励) Quincy. He also watched many videos on the ACT website to prepare for the test.
