Monet’s method involved painting the same scene many times in order to capture the changing of light and the passing of the asons. Zhang Daqian (1899～1983) Zhang Daqian was a Chine painter and is regarded as one of the most gifted masters of the 20th century. Originally a guohua painter, he also became renowned as a modern impressionist and expressionist painter by the 1960s.
