The football ason,was almost over. Sally had been playing football all summer. She really enjoyed running around with the other players in her bright orange uniform, chasing the black and white ball across the grassy field. As much as she tried, though, Sally still had not scored one single goal.

Sally stood up and took a deep breath. Even if she didn't get one goal all summer, she knew that she had tried her best. That was something to be proud of. So she smiled at her mother and headed to her position. The whistle blew, and the game continued.
The score was tied with one goal each. The green team was pretty good, but Sally’s orange team was fast. The girls’ ponytails bounced as they ran, with many feet kicking frantically at the ball when it came near them. It was a rather boring game and Sally's heart was no longer in it.

One beautiful afternoon, I had an important baball game, which I was really eager
to win. As the game progresd the score got clo. The two teams drew 8--8 at the end
of the last inning (局), and it was my turn to bat. I looked over at my coach ,who was talking to my dad about something. As I was about to step into the batter's box, my coach stopped me and asked me one strange question. He asked if it would be all right if my brother hit for me.
I was very confud becau my brother wasn't on the team. He had never even played baball due to his disability He couldn't stand, let alone hit. But I responded very maturely for a kid my age. "Of cour he can," I said. I was still puzzled as to how he would do it, though.
As my dad carried him to the plate, I realized that without his wheelchair he would have to be held up. The joy on his face couldn't be traded for anything in the world. The crowd burst into wild cheers after realizing what was happening. That afternoon in the batters box, my brother had all the happiness he needed.
