摘要：PURPOSE:To facilitate an editing operation by displaying a syntax structure tree showing the text structure in the form of a text character string together with a frame for each node and detecting the node corresponding to the minimum frame enclosing a position designated on a screen via a pointing means such as a mou to define the detected node as an editing object. Thus the part 19 obtains the minimum one of plural rectangular frames enclosing the cursor position and shown on a real screen bad on the cursor position coordinates held by the part 18, the display syntax structure tree range shown by a display syntax structure tree range holding part 14, and a frame coordinate table 12. Thus an editing position is easily designated.
