最⼤載流量:(Current Carrying Capacity)
定義為在導體或絕緣體融化之前,所能負載之電流。由電流流過導體所產⽣之熱,將決定這條電線能負荷多少電流。⽽單芯裸銅線所能流過的電流,可以⼀直增加,直到產⽣的熱達到銅的融點。有很多因素都會影響⼀條電線所能流過之電流量,⽐較重要的如下:
導體⼤⼩:
導體截⾯積越⼤,所能負載之電流越⼤。
絕緣體:
電流所產⽣的熱,不要超過絕緣體材質的最⼤適⽤溫度。
