UKC regulation
1.1富裕水深的定义(UKC definition)
船舶在浅水区航行时,为保证船舶安全,应使水深超过实际吃水并保持有一定的安全余量。这个安全余量通常称之为富裕水深。联线
In order to ensure safe navigation of the ship, the depth of channel shall be greater than ship’s draft with a safe allowance while the ship is proceeding in shallow water. This safe allowance is commonly called “UKC”

4.2确定富裕水深应考虑的因素(The following factors to be considered while ascertain the UKC)
船长在考虑浅水水域航行时所需最低限度的富裕水深时,保证船体的任何部位都具有不会与海底相接触的安全间隙,必须充分考虑船舶的下沉量和以下因数:
In consideration of the Min. UKC which the ship would proceeding in shallow water, a safe allowance is required to ensure that any parts of ship’s hull shall not be touched a bottom. The vesl’s squat and the following factors to be considered.
4.2.1海图水深的测量误差,国际上测深的误差标准为:水深0-20米,允许误差0.3米;水深口语学习20-100米,允许误差1.0米;
The measurement error of chart depth, the international standard of depth measurement error: depth scalekeygen 0-20m, the allowed error is 0.3m, depth scale 20-100m, the allowed error is 1.0m
4.2.2当时当地的基准潮高的误差;
The error of local Chart Datum at that time;
4.2.3大气压变化对海平面高度的影响,每变化1HP,水位相应变化1厘米;
The influence to a level height due to alternation of atmosphere pressure, in the event of 1Hp alternation, corresponding water level change to be 1cm.
4.2.4航行时会导致船体的下沉;
Ship will Squat during ship is underway;
4.2.5海水密度的变化;
Alternation of a water density;
4.2.6波浪使船体产生纵摇、横摇、垂荡而引起船舶吃水的变化;
The increment of ship’s draft due to rolling, pitching and sagging of the vesl
4.2.7考虑硬性底质与软性底质的差异,富裕水深在岩石底应估算入60厘米,在砂底应估算入30厘米;
The difference between hard and soft abed shall be taken into account. The UKC assumption shall added 60cm on rock abed and 30cm on sand abed.
4.2.8河流、或潮流、或风浪大的航道,局部海底起伏状况会因泥沙的走动而变化;
Taken into account the alternation of abed undulation may occur due to movement of mud and sand while proceeding in river, stream or rough a channels.
4.2.9航道横断面面积;
The tranct area of the fairway.
4.2.10考虑主机冷却水的吸入口;
Taken into account the main engine cooling water intake.
4.2.11为船舶能得到有效和安全的操纵而需要的富裕水深;
UKC required for safe and efficient manoeuvring of ship.
4.2.12其他可能的因素;
Other factor as may be applicable.
在确定所需的富裕水深时,以上的因素应综合考虑,而不是机械地相加。
When making certain UKC, the above factors should be considered synthetically and not be added by rote.
4.3公司对富裕水深的最低要求( The Minimum Requirements of UKC)
4.3.1船舶在港内航行时的富裕水深:60CM或以上;47vcd
At least 0.6m UKC is required for navigating in port.
4.3.2船舶在沿岸航行时的富裕水深:1M或以上;
At least 1m UKC is required for coastal water.
4.3.3船舶在大洋航行时的富裕水深:2M或以上;
At least 2m is required for ocean-going.
4.3.4船舶无论在何地、何时,都应遵守当地关于船舶富裕水深的规定。
Ship shall maintain enough/sufficient UKC at all time. Anyhow, the local UKC regulation must be complied.
4.4富裕水深不足时船长应采取的措施(Action when ship in insufficient UKC water)
当船长在经过综合考虑后,确认船舶的富裕水深不能满足上述要求时,应采取以下措施:

4.4.1调整船舶的吃水差,使船舶在驶经浅区时基本保持平吃水和无横倾;

4.4.2驶经浅水区时应尽可能的降低船速,以维持舵效的速度行驶,减少船体下沉的影响;
When passing shallow water, try her best to decrease speed and navigating by only indicating rudder efficiency speed.
4.4.3减载;候潮或申请拖轮协助;
Reduce loading; waiting for the tide or apply tug assistance.
4.4.4通过公司海务经理或代理向航道部门了解最新的航道、水文资料,必要时申请航道船护航;
Look for the latest information for hydrology of the fairway from hydrodynamic department by the marine manager of company or agent.
4.4.5即使采取了以上措施,但仍不能满足上述富裕水深的要求时,船长应要求公司航运部或租船人改驶安全港口。
After taking the above actions, the UKC cannot reach the requirement,staff是什么意思 the master should demand the company or charterer to change port.
