摘要：PURPOSE:To enable free transfer of an image signal to and from external apparatus by providing a signal-outputting means for outputting the image signal to the external apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In the ca of printing on a large number of sheets, when a manuscript to be printed is inrted into a manuscript reader 30, the manuscript is fed rightward by a combined supplying and discharging roller 36, a paper-supplying roller 37 and a pair of manuscript-feeding rollers 34, 35, and an image of the manuscript is read by a CCD 31. An image signal thus obtained is outputted to a thermal head 7 to make a stencil from a stencil paper 5. In the ca of printing on a small number of sheets, an image signal obtained by reading a manuscript by the manuscript reader 30 is outputted to a cond thermal head 46. A thermal transfer recording paper is fed from a paper feeding ba 56 by a ctor roller 55 and a pair of registration rollers 53, 54 to be inrted between the thermal head 46 and a platen roller 47, and is presd against the thermal head 46 through an ink film 49 paid out from a payout reel 50, whereby the image of the manuscript is transfer printed on the thermal transfer recording paper.
