摘要：PURPOSE:To improve operativity in mounting and dismounting paper by equipping a control device which enables to make a holding torque in the circumferencial direction of a platen OFF state by automatically rotating the platen to the predetermined position when an instruction to replace paper is detected. CONSTITUTION:A control device 8 executes, with a microcomputer as a main component, line feed and horizontal shifting by driving a motor control circuit 9, motor driver 10, first motor 6 or cond motor 7 according to the printing and line feeding operatios. When the control device main body 8 detects, the first and cond position nsors 13, 14 detect a platen 1 and trigger a timer circuit 16. The circuit 16 is to provide a time delay until the circumferencial inertia of rotation in the both directions of the platen 1 becomes zero. Then, a switching circuit 15 is turned OFF, power supply to the first motor 6 is cut OFF and the platen 1 is made freely movable in the both directions by a manual operation.
