The National Calligraphy and Painting Grade Examination is a national examination sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and jointly organized by the National Art Muum, Chine Calligraphers Association, Chine Artists Association, China International Culture Exchange Center and other units. The examination covers eight categories of calligraphy and painting skills, including calligraphy, painting, Chine painting, oil paintin
g, engraving, watercolor painting, lacquer painting and sculpture, aiming to test the candidates' calligraphy and painting skills, provide them with a recognized grade certificate and more employment opportunities. The examination is divided into three levels: primary, intermediate and advanced.
