摘要：PURPOSE:To produce recovered molding sand in a reusable state in a short time by automatically measuring the moisture content of the recovered sand and adding an adequate amount of water thereto. CONSTITUTION:Recovered sand stored in a sand storage 2 is fed out continuously by means of a belt conveyor 3, and while the moisture contents thereof is being measured continuously with a moisture measuring device 4, it is stored in an auxiliary hopper 7. On the other hand, the measured value of the moisture content of the recovered sand is transmitted from a measuring device 4 to a control device 6 which in turn calculates insufficient moisture content, and opens an electromagnetic on-off valve 10, thereby controlling the opening of a flowrate regulating valve 9 and storing the water for the insufficient component into a water storage tank 13. Thence, the recovered sand in the auxiliary hopper 7 is charged into a kneading machine 8 and an on-off valve 16 is opened to supply the whole water in the water storage tank 13 into the kneading machine 8 by means of compresd air. Further, a binder is added and the recovered sand, water and binder are kneaded, whereby the molding sand having predetermined conditions is obtained in a batch system.
