The information manager (24) responds to a product order from the first location (14) by nding an order acknowledgement confirmation message over the network (12) to the first location (14), causing the cond location to nd an order acknowledgement card (46) and the ordered product (48) to the first location (14), and updating the databa (34) to indicate the ordered product was received by the first location upon return receipt of the order acknowledgement card.
