八年级英语下册阅读理解经典题型带答案
一、八年级英语下册阅读理解专项练习(含答案解析)
1.阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。
When I was younger, bedtime was always my favorite part of the day. Wearing soft pajamas (睡衣裤) and with Lan, my stuffed monkey, in my arms, I felt no pressure at all.
I named Lan after my uncle when I compared Lan's long arms and legs to his. One night I ran up to Uncle Lan at a family party and told him I had named my monkey after him. His eyebrows wrinkled (起皱纹) in confusion, and then a chuckle (哈哈大笑) escaped from his lips. I guess he didn't understand how important it was to me.
Even if Uncle Lan didn't think my monkey was special, I certainly did. I dresd him in a white baby nightgown (睡衣). My mother thought that Lan was the best-dresd stuffed animal in the world. Yes, he was certainly a fashionable creature. The strong cologne (科隆香水) I ud on him years ago makes him still smell "pretty".
英语寓言故事带翻译
For a long time, Lan went everywhere with me. He was my best friend, and I told him everything. But when I turned twelve, I realized I was too old for stuffed animals. I thought people would think I was babyish, so I put him in the cupboard with the rest of my teddy bears and dolls. I begged him to understand why I was doing this, but at the same time I longed to talk to him again.
It took me veral years to realize that it was OK to miss Lan. I know now that maturity (成熟) doesn't only mean growing up and taking on more responsibility (责任). It also means holding on to your childhood and acting young sometimes.
Lan has been with me since I was six years old. Holding him in my arms connects me with my past and my prent as I continue growing and understanding mylf.

One day, a farmer was walking along a road with his son Thomas. The father said, "Lo
ok! There's a horshoe. Pick it up arid put it in your bag. "Thomas said." It isn't worth(值得) the trouble. "His father said nothing but he picked it up himlf. When they got to a nearby town, they had a rest. There the farmer sold the horshoe and with the few pennies he bought some cherries(樱桃).
The father and the son continued their way. The sun was well up in the sky, and there wasn't a hou or even a tree where they could have a rest. Thomas felt too thirsty(口渴的) to walk on. At the moment, his lather dropped a cherry on the ground and Thomas picked it up quickly and ate it. After a while, his father dropped another cherry and once again, his son picked it up and put it in his mouth.
And so they went on. The old farmer dropped the cherries and the son picked them up. When Thomas had caught' up all the cherries, his father said to him," My dear son, if you had bent(弯腰) down in the beginning to pick up that horshoe, you wouldn't have bent so many times for the cherries. Always remember this lesson:If someone don't worry about the little things, he will find it impossible for him to do the great things."
